same time, there is a lack of attention to proper use of grammar due to a classroom environment acceptable of making mistakes. Therefore, the teacher’s role of being a facilitator is essential. In this paper, the author reports four English communication group activities practiced in English language courses labeled "General English” at Shohoku College, Japan, and explores classroom language activities that are particularly effective in fostering positive attitudes toward English communication in beginner learners.},
