| 内容記述 | 言語学習におけるグループワークの有用性は学習者への発話練習の機会提供だけではなく英語コミュニケーションへの態度にも肯定的な効果がある一方、間違えを恐れない学習環境の増幅による文法への意識の離脱もあり、教員の介入は重要である。本稿では湘北短期大学の国際理解科目「ジェネラル・イングリッシュ」で実践した英語コミュニケーションのグループ活動を4つ報告し、特に初級学習者の対話への態度育成に有効なアクティビティのあり方を模索する。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Group activities in English language classrooms not only provide learners with opportunities to practice communicating in English, but also have positive effects on their attitudes toward English communication. At the same time, there is a lack of attention to proper use of grammar due to a classroom environment acceptable of making mistakes. Therefore, the teacher’s role of being a facilitator is essential. In this paper, the author reports four English communication group activities practiced in English language courses labeled "General English” at Shohoku College, Japan, and explores classroom language activities that are particularly effective in fostering positive attitudes toward English communication in beginner learners. |
